Please attend the rescheduled meeting of the DRCA Land Use Committee this Thursday February 27th at 7:00pm at the Mt. Vernon Rec Center. This meeting will focus around the proposed redevelopment of Route 1 West/ Oakville Triangle. We will have a presentation from City of Alexandria Planning and Zoning Staff as they get ready to form an advisory group to work with the City and Developers on a 13 acre site on the East side of the Mt. Jefferson Greenway along Route 1. In addition to the presentation from City Staff, we will hear a proposal from the owner of Marino’s Restaurant, also along Route 1, who is hoping to extend a previously approved but hotly contested special use permit to build an addition to his restaurant.
