The bad winter weather led to more potholes throughout the city. During April, the city’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services (T&ES) will increase efforts to fix and patch as many potholes as possible.
Residents are encouraged to report potholes by using Call.Click.Connect or by calling 703-746-HELP (4357). When reporting these items by phone, make sure to include the closest address, intersection, and lane direction of travel associated with the pothole location.
The city has also released its spring paving schedule, which includes Commonwealth Avenue between West Spring Street and West Monroe Avenue, which is currently in bad condition.
Locations for repaving have been identified based on the pavement surface evaluation and rating system inventory recently conducted in 2013.
