One of the city’s biggest charitable fundraising events will be held this week. On Wednesday, April 9, ACT for Alexandria is hosting Spring2ACTion, a 24-hour online giving competition to raise money for local nonprofits. In its fourth year, Spring2ACTion, the only citywide giving day in the region, hopes to raise $1 million in 24 hours for 114 participating nonprofits.
