- Political career began over 40 years ago when moved to Del Ray on Oxford Avenue.
- Launched a career in politics based on civil rights issues
- Del Ray was a redlined neighborhood – banks would not lend
- Justice Department followed up on a letter to all 27 banks that refused home loans in Del Ray
- 1979 Alexandria Election for City Council – wins seat
- Most dramatic, satisfying and rewarding changes have occurred in Del Ray
- A great place to live and raise kids

- Larceny offenses are up – drive up stats; 20 larceny since last meeting
- 10 cases were misdemeanors – unlocked cars
- 3 cases at GW Middle School (Iphones/Ipads)
- 6 shoplifting cases (CVS/Walgreens)
- 1 package theft
- Citywide -0.6%; robberies/burglaries up citywide
Land Use Update – Lisa Quandt
- 3 cases – all residential
- 2500 Sanford St.; Vacation; purchase property from city for additional landscaping; Committee in Support
- 29 E. Howell; one story; adding second floor; over setback; Committee supports
- 310 E. Monroe Ave.; second floor addition; over setback; Committee supports
