Two more volunteering opportunities at membership meetings:
Greeter
Nothing says “Welcome!” more than a friendly smile! Join a member of the board or membership committee to help greet members as they arrive for the meeting. You will co-man a small table, co-greet members, and ask members to make a name tag. Please arrive to the meeting a bit early (around 6:45 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. meeting) and be present at the table until the start of the meeting at 7:30 p.m. That’s it! A wonderful way to meet new people and get involved – it’s only 40 minutes of your time!
Food Helper
DRCA encourages social mingling and making new friends! What better way to do that than over some food and drinks. Food Helpers are in charge of providing food for the meeting. We encourage Food Helpers to be as creative as possible (do you like to cook?? Cook away!! Do you have a favorite dessert you want to share – go for it!) and provide for approximately 30 people – you will be reimbursed for $50 (save your receipts!). Don’t forget the adult beverages 😉 Please arrive around 6:45 p.m. to set up the food and remain until the end of the meeting to help put any left overs away.
