The Del Ray Citizens Association recently welcomed a special visitor to their meeting, US Representative Don Beyer, shared his thoughts on many topics from Capitol Hill. Rep. Beyer was enthusiastic to see many residents of Del Ray attend the meeting and take an active part to stay involved in their community. Rep Beyer has long ties to the State of Virginia where he served as Lieutenant Governor of Virginia from 1990 to 1998.
In this video, Rep. Beyer shows his appreciation for the local businesses of Del Ray and the idea that a community can create an immensely friendly environment to local business owners. The unique quality of Del Ray is seen on the artery of community, Mt. Vernon Ave, which is lined with locally owned restaurants, clothing stores, along with a multitude of health and wellness shops. The Del Ray Citizens Association in cooperation with the Del Ray Business Association strive to make sure the owners of these establishments can grow and prosper in Del Ray. Rep Beyer also talks about the biggest news at the time the firing of FBI Director James Comey on May 9th, 2017. Other topics included in Rep Beyer’s talk are the Affordable Healthcare Act, the Affordable Care Act and President Trumps “Skinny Budget”.
