A work party will be held on Saturday, October 19, from 1 to 4 pm., at the gardens at Simpson Park off of East Monroe Avenue and adjacent to the YMCA. These demonstration gardens were originally planted and are maintained by volunteers from the Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia. Help is needed in a variety of activities, including weeding, replacing bamboo edgings, and mulching.
