The 21-acre Potomac Yard Park will open on Saturday, December 14. The City Council will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. at 2501 Potomac Ave. (near the intersection of Potomac and Swan avenues). Please park on Potomac Avenue and walk to the event site. Parking is available on Potomac and Swan.
The DRCA was a strong advocate of a major new public park at Potomac Yard during the planning process for that development project in 1998 and 1999.
