Task force on parking standards to hold first meeting

The first meeting of the city’s Parking Standards for New Development Projects Task Force will be held on Wednesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. in the City Council workroom at City Hall. The meeting will focus on current demographics and trends and existing Alexandria parking policies and practices. Staff will also discuss the process and methodology of the parking study and future meeting topics.

On Monday, March 31, the city kicked off the parking standards study with a fascinating panel discussion on why right-sized parking matters. The event featured three experts on the issue from the Washington, DC area.
