Chili Cook Off

2017 Chili Cook Off

Each year in February the Del Ray Citizens Association hosts our annual Chili Cook Off. The event is open to residents of Del Ray and cash awards are given for best Chili in a variety of categories. The Cook Off is also used as a fundraising event for community projects.

The Del Ray Citizens Association’s Sixth Annual Chili Cook-off will be held on February 9, 2019, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Commonwealth Academy (1321 Leslie Avenue). This event is without a doubt a terrific way to get out of the house in dreary February, and with your $10 entry (free for DRCA members; you can join at the door or on our homepage!) you can taste each chili and receive four beer tickets. This year, all proceeds will go toward funding the construction of a new park at the corner of E. Bellefonte Ave and Route 1.

Do you make a mean chili and want to win $150? Competition is open to all Del Ray residents. Check out the rules and registration form here. Judges will include Del Ray-area school board members and City Council members.
